hi friends - it’s been a HOT minute.

I’m writing to you very out of the blue, not a speck of an idea for this one floating around up there. Let’s see where the wind blows us…

let’s catch up

it’s finally (!) summer, and it’s been a good one here in NYC. sometimes, you can just feel the sweetness of a season roll in and this one did not disappoint. after a very rainy S’23, we’re welcoming the heat in this house.

I might be the last person ever to do it, but I started watching GOT (season 4!). once I got past the gore, I couldn’t stop watching. I also started the court series¹ and both are definitely living up to the hype.

lately 💭

Overall, I’ve been lying extra low and taking it easy. My body has been leading the way as I navigate some off bloodwork from my physical in late May, but I’m already feeling so much better as the days have been warming up.

I recently went out west to Portland for the weekend and it was the sweetest escape and reunion with my family. we hadn’t been altogether in too long, and the giddiness was off the charts. Denise and Dan hosted us for a weekend in the sun to celebrate their engagement, and to see the home they’ve built together was the sweetest treat of all.

anyway, that’s all for now. i’m getting ready for a week in Mexico with my family - sending you all big hugs and a smooch from the UES.
